A Orquestra Sinfônica de Milão homenageia a profunda criatividade de uma luminária do século XX: Luciano Berio, que atuou como maestro honorário da LaVerdi entre 2000 e 2003. A Orquestra Sinfônica de Milão apresenta o concerto inaugural de Compass, um recital criado para piano e orquestra (1994), que combina lindamente música e arquitetura. Esta é a celebração perfeita para o centenário de Berio, com um conjunto “florentino” de músicos excepcionais: Andrea Lucchesini ao piano e Diego Ceretta na regência. Juntamente com a Orquestra, eles apresentam um programa que integra perfeitamente as Valses nobles et sentimentales de Ravel e Fontane di Roma de Respighi.

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
