Sobre o Evento
Em Amsterdã, toda semana de Páscoa começa com uma apresentação de uma Paixão de Johann Sebastian Bach. Depois de Willem Mengelberg, Bernard Haitink e Mariss Jansons, o novo maestro Klaus Mäkelä está seguindo essa tradição. O evangelista Maximilian Schmitt e o cantor de Cristo Matthew Brook representam a interpretação alemã e britânica dos grandes oratórios barrocos. Em Amsterdã, as duas tradições de apresentação se fundem em uma cultura de oratório única, que agora também podemos vivenciar em Baden‐Baden.

| Orquestra: | Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra One of the world's most celebrated orchestras, Amsterdam's Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra musters 120 players from around the world under the batons of great conductors, historic and contemporary. The ensemble's unique timbre is at least partially due to the extraordinary acoustic in its home — the legendary 1881 Main Hall of the Concertgebouw itself — which demands exceptional listening and collaborative music making from the orchestra's players.
