Kostas Meretakis

Solista

Kostas Meretakis was born in Athens in 1979. He studied classical music theory and organ at the Kallithea music school with Evstathios Christelis and Ioannis Kastrinos. He received his diploma in both of these subjects in 1997. Parallel to this he began at a very early age to study traditional percussion instruments with teachers such as Andreas Papas, Giorgos Gevgelis, and Petros Kourtis. He was also a student of Vangelis Karipis at the Experimental Musical Gymnasium‐Lyceum in Pallini from which he graduated in 1997.
