Sabina Chukurova

Sabina Chukurova was born in Dushanbe/Tajikistan in 1981 and has lived in Berlin since 1992. She was a young student at the Julius Stern Institute and studied piano with Georg Sava at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music from 2001-2006. With the Julius Stern Trio, founded in 1996, she won 3rd prize at the chamber music competition 'Vittorio Gui' in Florence in 2004 2005 - - 2nd prize at the chamber music competition 'Trio di Trieste' in Trieste 2005... 2005-2008 she studied with the Trio at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Prof. Niklas Schmidt. Out of a growing interest in early music she turned to the harpsichord and studied it with Mitzi Meyerson at the UdK Berlin in 2009-2014. She completed her studies with a concert exam. She lives as a freelance harpsichordist in Berlin and dedicates her concert activities to solo and chamber music literature of the 16th-18th century.
