Verdi's Aida: Chorégies d'Orange
Over het evenement
Verdi's powerful masterwork, Aida, comes to life in the heart of the historic Roman Theater of Orange. Sondra Radvanovsky sings the title role in the staging by Paul‐Emile Fourny, with Paolo Arrivabeni conducting.
Don't miss the chance to witness Aida in a venue perfectly suited to its grandeur and history. Librettist Camille Du Locle, who was born in Orange, set forth a tragic love story between the Ethiopian slave Aida and the Egyptian general Radamès, from which Verdi composed an opera of rare dramatic intensity, alternating grand spectacle with touching intimacy.
