Enjoy an "extremely British" evening with the Tonkunstler Orchestra, violinist Arabella Steinbacher, and conductor Pietari Inkinen.

The program could hardly start in more dramatic fashion: Henry Purcell’s ‘Funeral Music’, composed in 1695 to mark the death of the English Queen Mary, soon makes way for the soft percussion in the opening of Britten’s Violin Concerto. That extra‐terrestrial orchestral suite ‘The Planets’ by Gustav Holst then rounds off a sparkling 15‐16 season.
