A rare performance of the "heroic ballet" by a master of the French baroque.

The story of Zaïs, who disguises himself as a shepherd to win his love, is told through song and dances, with music by Jean‐Philippe Rameau, an undisputed master of the genre. His overture, with full percussion section, representing the four elements created out of chaos, is sure to influenced Haydn.
