Rudolf Nureyev Memorial Ballet Gala: Peralada Festival 2014

It was 30 years ago when Rudolf Nureyev made his Peralada début on an unforgettable evening which has become one of the cornerstones of today's Festival.

Last year, the English National Ballet premièred its own personal homage to the great dancer and choreographer with a show that was acclaimed by both audiences and critics alike. For the Festival, the company is proposing an updated homage which includes many of the pas de deux made famous by the legendary Russian dancer, the Black Swan, Giselle, Le Corsaire and The Nutcracker, as well as choreography pieces by Russell Maliphant, Liam Scarlett and Akram Khan, to mark the centenary of World War One. An evening that will be as emotional as it will vibrant.
