The young Polish conductor Krzysztof Urbanski, currently engaged as Principal Conductor in Trondheim, Norway and Indianapolis, USA, directs the Tonkünstler through a demanding program of 20th century classics.
Glinka’s overture to Ruslan and Ludmilla and Rimski‐Korsakov’s Scheherazade rank among the most famous Russian orchestral classics and serve as a frame for one of the great milestones of the 20th century: Witold Lutosławski Concerto for Orchestra.
