With 9 hectares in the heart of Versailles, the Potager du Roi has always been a model in the evolution of agricultural and food practices in an urban environment. A masterpiece of French garden design in the Baroque period, the site of the École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage was created under Louis XIV by Jean‐Baptiste de la Quintinie to provide the king's table with fruit and vegetables.
