New Year's Concert: Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia

The Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia performs Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Ponchielli, and Offenbach, under the baton of Manfred Honeck.

For his holiday season concerts at Santa Cecilia, Honeck will offer a program devoted mostly to the music of Johann Strauss, Jr., his composer of choice. Along with infectiously upbeat works by 'The Waltz King', the evening will also include lively pieces by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Lehar, Josef Strauss, and Luigi Arditi.
