Lulu — Alban Berg
Over het evenement
Lulu is Alban Berg's famed opera with prologue and three acts. The libretto is based on The Spirit of the Land and The Pandora's Box by Frank Wedekind.
This is a new production of the Teatro Real in collaboration with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London. The German stage director Christof Loy returns to Madrid after his successful Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss at the opening of the 2006‐07 season. The rising Swedish soprano Agneta Eichenholz (alternating the lead with Denmark´s Susanne Elmark) sings the central role: the serpent of Paradise, a wild and beautiful animal created to do evil, to attract, entice, poison, to kill without perceiving.
