Journey from the old world to the new with the celebrated Jerusalem Quartet, and their colleagues, acclaimed violist Veronika Hagen and cellist Gary Hoffman. Works from the Czech composer's hugely productive period in America, during which the 'New World' Symphony had its' genesis, contrast with the early String Sextet op. 48.

Both the Quartet in E — the 'American' — and the quintet that immediately followed show the deep impact of the diverse American song tradition on Dvořák's writing. From Negro Spirituals to Irish shanties, a whole world of music found a new home, and Dvořák found a new inspiration.
