In a historic line‐up of international stars and Dresden choirs, Mahler's 8th resounds in the Kreuzkirche, bombed during the war and resurrected in 1989 as a symbol of political revolution.

A massive gathering of eight soloists, two large mixed choirs, one boys' choir, a full symphony orchestra, a separate brass ensemble and an organ makes for a fitting cast for this "Symphony of a Thousand".
