Born in 1980, Ibrahim Maalouf is a trumpeter who is open to classical music, Arab folk music, funk, and jazz alike.

Maalouf has collaborated with outstanding figures in pop and world music such as Sting, Lhasa de Sela, and the duo of Amadou & Mariam. In the past five years, he has become one of the most prominent representatives of modern Arab ethno‐jazz.
