I Virtuosi dell'opera di Roma, Dinner at the Opera: Il Barbiere di Siviglia
Over het evenement
Enjoy a dinner at Salone Margherita just before listening to Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
The Opera talks about Figaro, famous Barber and “Factotum” of Sevilla; he is helping the Count of Almaviva to conquest the heart of Rosina, a young beauty living in her tutor’s house, Don Bartolo.
Don Bartolo is trying to marry Rosina for her considerable dowry, advising by Don Basilio (Rosina’s singing teacher). After disguises, hilarious moments and turn of events, Rosina and the Count of Almaviva at the end succeed in getting married.
The Salone Margherita was founded in 1890 as a café chantant, where the audience could enjoy dinner while enjoying the performance on stage. This year, the theater returns to its origins and offers the audience a delicious meal before listening to the masterpieces of Italian and European opera.
