Relish the meeting of two great musical traditions, as Austria and Russia offer up their greatest talents in the service of music. Valery Gergiev leads the Vienna Philharmonic in works by his countryman, Tchaikovsky, including – fittingly – the ‘Mozartiana’ Suite, and by Mozart himself. Clarinettist Jörg Widmann completes his residency at the 2018 Salzburg Mozart Week with the magnificent A major Concerto.
