Flamenco Festival in Brussels: Luis Moneo & Familia La Saga De Los Moneo

When referring to the contemporary flamenco scene and to ‘La Plazuela’, we are of course talking about the Moneo family from Jerez de la Frontera, and Manuel Moneo and Juan Moneo 'El Torta'. More recently, their younger brother Luis ‘Pepe’ Moneo has emerged from their shadow. One day he put down his guitar, deciding to sing instead in his typical and unmistakeable voz metal. A voice that is similar to that of Manuel and El Torta, and their uncle Pacote. In 2017, Luis Moneo released his first album, Mi Cante, mi Palabra, as a solo vocalist, accompanied by his son Juan Manuel Moneo on the guitar. A recording, that matured slowly, like a good wine, with an incomparable result: authentic and spontaneous, new and traditional, with vocals in their typical natural style. And yes, Luis is bringing the whole family to Brussels. So get ready to hear and see three generations of professional flamenco singers, guitarists, dancers and palmeros perform!
