Ensemble Intercontemporain, Exaudi Vocal Ensemble & François‐Xavier Roth: Rihm
Over het evenement
Witness the spectacle of this sixth Biennial of Vocal Art, with all its dramatic interplay between the Baroque, the Lied and present‐day scores of Holliger and Rihm.
In Rihm's Innere Grenze ("interior border"), one hears words resonating, isolated from one another and floating like snippets out of context; they are Nietzsche's words, or sometimes just vowels, in which the long tones are punctuated by murmurs and outbursts of percussion as well as by the metallic attacks of the brass.
The program is completed by Lindberg's flamboyant Jubilees, written in honor of Boulez' 65th birthday, and a world premiere for six voices, ensemble, and electronics by Spanish composer Alberto Posadas.
