Ensemble intercontemporain & Alejo Pérez: Stravinsky & Eötvös, Cité de la Musique
Over het evenement
Stravinsky dedicated his Symphonies of Wind Instruments "to the memory of Claude Debussy". In 1971, Pierre Boulez composed …explosante‐fixe… as a farewell to Stravinsky upon his death. Peter Eötvös' 1985 piece Steine, in turn, carries the dedication "from Peter to Pierre", in recognition of Boulez' 60th birthday. And the Severed Garden, by the young German composer Genoël von Lilienstern, is an homage to Eötvös.
