Easter Sunday at the Stephansdom: Bolshoi Don Cossacks Choir
Over het evenement
At this Easter Sunday evening concert, the Bolshoi Don Cossack Men's Choir performs at the St. Stephen´s Cathedral in Vienna.
Following the great tradition of the Don‐Cossacks Choir, adjusted to modern times, Prof. Petja Houdjakov founded his new ensemble: the “Bolschoi Don Cossacks”. The only Cossacks choir consisting of opera soloists only.
Vienna is looking forward to this very unique ensemble for the first time for the traditional Easter Night Concert in the cathedral. For this very evening the artists are going to present a programme focusing on the great musical tradition of the Austrian and the Russian‐Orthodox Easter festivities.
The vast spectrum of the voices of this choir, founded and conducted by Prof. Petja Houdjakov, cannot be compared with any others in the world.
The stage is not directly visible from seats in Category 4 and 5. The concert presenter recommend Categories 1‐3 for the best view.
