Die Fledermaus: Opéra de Montréal
Over het evenement
Opera de Montreal's up‐and‐coming director Oriol Tomas transforms the setting to 1930s Montreal: fashionable mansions and sophisticated nightclubs. Strauss' beloved operetta enchants, with the prince of Quebec tenors, Marc Hervieux, in the lead role.
On his way to his jail sentence, Eisenstein makes a short stop at Prince Orlovsky’s ball. At the party, he attempts to seduce a mysterious Hungarian countess. Unfortunately she is actually his own wife in disguise. Lying, cheating and dancing ensues, but only one is to blame: champagne!
Performed in French, with dialogues in English and French, and with English and French surtitles.
