Come and celebrate the Chinese New Year with us here in BOZAR and listen to a few treasures from the Empire’s repertoire. Conducted by Pang Kapang, the eighty or so musicians from the Suzhou Chinese Orchestra are there to acquaint your with 3,000 years of Chinese music. Soloists with a global reputation invite you to partake of the wealth of the traditional repertoire of one of the most ancient civilisations of the world that still exists today a civilisation which has managed to resist the passage of time. Maybe that’s one of its best kept secrets and explains why it really speaks to audiences.
