Beijing Symphony Orchestra: Dvorak Prague Festival
Over het evenement
The Beijing Symphony Orchestra performs Dvorak's Symphonies No.3 and No. 4 under the baton of its chief conductor Tan Linua. It is worth noting that it is this very Beijing Symphony Orchestra that can take credit for the first performances of Dvořák’s Symphonies No. 6 and 7 in China. The Beijing Philharmonic’s appearance in Prague is just one stop on their tour of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe.
The Dvořák Prague Festival is not only a celebration of the work of the musical genius and the world's most acclaimed Czech composer, Antonín Dvořák, but also an important social event. It is a parade of outstanding performers, conductors, internationally recognized orchestras, and chamber ensembles that come to Prague to present Dvořák's music and other works of world‐renowned composers to an international audience.
