Aimard, Jordan: Chamber Concert of the Wiener Symphoniker

French pianist Pierre‐Laurent Aimard is artist‐in‐residence with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra this season. With Philippe Jordan and members of the orchestra, he offers a concert devoted to works by Elliott Carter, Joseph Haydn, and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Haydn's String Quartet in A major will be framed by two works of the 20th century, with Carter's "Epigrams" for piano, violin, and cello opening the evening, and Shostakovich's Piano Quintet in G minor closing it.
