"Er is een reden waarom bepaalde muziekstukken zo beroemd zijn: omdat ze mooi zijn", stelt muziekdirecteur Emmanuel Tjeknavorian. Deze waarheid komt perfect tot uiting in Mozarts Symfonie nr. 40, een meesterwerk uit de laatste drie symfonieën van het genie uit Salzburg, dat zich onderscheidt door zijn melancholische en maanachtige karakter in vergelijking met de andere twee. Ondertussen zet het Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano zijn verkenning van Sjostakovitsj' symfonische werken voort met Symfonie nr. 6, een vrolijker compositie die de stemming van de lente, vreugde en jeugd belichaamt.

La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
