Dompel jezelf onder in de sfeer van het Oostenrijks‐Hongaarse Rijk met een muzikale reis die je van de verste uithoeken naar Wenen voert. Wie kan ons beter begeleiden dan Alfred Eschwé, kapelmeester en ultieme bewaker van de Oostenrijkse traditie? Na zijn debuut vorig seizoen presenteert Eschwé een reis die begint met Bartóks suggestieve Hongaarse beelden, gevolgd door Haydns laatste symfonie met tromgeroffel, en eindigt met een selectie van Strauss' meest iconische stukken, waaronder de Tritsch‐Tratsch Polka en de Kaiser Waltz.

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
