De terugkeer van Kolja Blacher naar het Auditorium van Milaan voelt als een hartelijk weerzien. De gewaardeerde musicus leidde ooit het Kamerorkest tijdens diepgaande verkenningen van diverse muzikale periodes, samen met het publiek. Zijn comeback zet Schuberts Vierde en Haydns Concerto voor trompet en orkest in de schijnwerpers, en markeert een weerzien met de 23‐jarige eerste trompettist van het Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Alessandro Rosi, als solist. Blacher voegt een unieke dimensie toe aan het programma met een werk van zijn vader, Boris: Variaties op een thema van Paganini, een meesterwerk waarmee Boris in 1947 veel lof oogstte toen Duitsland begon met de wederopbouw van zijn culturele identiteit.

| Orkest: | Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
