'Geschud, niet geroerd.' Met deze iconische woorden doopt James Bond de Martini Cocktail – een tijdloos elixer. Samen vormen de ingrediënten een harmonieuze mix die rust brengt bij degenen die ervan nippen. De gin vormt het 'lichaam' van het drankje en doet denken aan Liszts Tweede Concerto voor piano en orkest. De vermout, vergelijkbaar met een ouverture van Rossini zoals Semiramide, vormt de basis met zijn aromatische aanwezigheid. Een citroenschil voegt de jeugdige frisheid toe die te vinden is bij artiesten als Kiron Atom Tellian op piano en Emmanuel Tjeknavorian op het podium – een pittige, verkwikkende noot. Ten slotte brengt de onmisbare olijf, die als een anker fungeert zoals Berlioz' Symphonie fantastique, alles samen. Dit stuk blijft belangrijk voor het Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, aangezien het de openingssymfonie was die zij in 1993 uitvoerden.

| Orkest: | Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
