Het is niet alledaags om een 24‐jarige eerste trompettist te vinden in een prestigieus symfonieorkest. Toch kan het Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano bogen op Alessandro Rosi in deze felbegeerde positie. Rosi, die op 15‐jarige leeftijd cum laude afstudeerde aan het conservatorium, bekleedt nu de eerste trompettrap en wordt bewonderd om zijn opmerkelijke klank en expressiviteit. Dit is Rosi's debuut als solist, met Haydns Concerto voor trompet en orkest. Hij wordt begeleid door de getalenteerde jonge dirigent Julius Zeman, die terugkeert om het Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano te leiden in een programma dat ons meevoert naar de elegantie en verrukking van Haydn, Schubert en Mozarts Wenen.

Orkest: Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
