Een avond in het Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo neemt het publiek mee naar drie verschillende werelden van orkestmuziek. Het programma begint met de sprankelende ouverture van Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart bij *Le Nozze di Figaro*, waarin elegantie, humor en theatrale energie samenkomen. Daarna volgt het Vioolconcert in e‐mineur van Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, waarin lyrische warmte en oogverblindende virtuositeit hand in hand gaan. Het concert wordt afgesloten met Carl Nielsens Symfonie nr. 2, op. 16, De vier temperamenten, een levendig, psychologisch geladen werk geïnspireerd door de antieke karakters: cholerisch, flegmatisch, melancholisch en sanguinisch. Samen bieden deze werken een boeiend portret van de Europese muzikale verbeelding, waardoor de avond een aantrekkelijke keuze is voor cultuurminnende bezoekers die Milaan ontdekken. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
