Voor een onvergetelijke avond vol orkestmuziek in Milaan kunt u terecht in het Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo voor vier levendige hoofdstukken uit de Russische en Armeense muziektradities. Het programma opent met Dmitri Sjostakovitsj’ Symfonie nr. 9 in Es majeur, op. 70, een werk dat bekendstaat om zijn humor, elegantie en onverwachte lichtheid. Vervolgens staat het Eerste pianoconcert in Bes mineur, op. 23, van Pjotr Iljitsj Tsjaikovski in de schijnwerpers, een van de meest geliefde pareltjes uit het repertoire, waarin grootse melodieën worden gecombineerd met virtuoze briljantheid. Aram Khachaturians suggestieve Adagio uit ‘Spartacus’ en ‘Phrygia’, gevolgd door de Variatie uit ‘Aegina’ en ‘Bacchanalia’ uit ‘Spartacus’, voegen een overweldigende theatraliteit en onvergetelijke ritmische energie toe.

| Orkest: | Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
