Le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra présente une soirée de musique romantique avec une oeuvre trés populaire d'Antonin Dvorak.

La "New World Symphony" de Dvorak est sa propre lettre musicale de l 'Amérique. Écrite pendant sa période créative, c'est au même temps une hymne au pays et un désir de retourner chez lui — exprimé dans la mélodie de cor anglais fameuse. Le chef d'orchestre dynamique danois Thomas Dausgaard dirige le programme, qui commence par l'ouverture vive Semiramide de Rossini. En outre se mettra en évidence le talentueux violoniste norvégien Henning Kraggerud, en performant le Concerto pour violon de Sibelius.

Dvorak's celebrated 'New World' Symphony is the composer's own musical 'letter from America'. Written during his time working there, it is both a hymn to the country and a nostalgic longing to return home, expressed in the famous cor anglais melody in the slow movement. Dynamic Danish conductor Thomas Dausgaard leads this programme, which begins with Rossini's lively Semiramide Overture and features talented Norwegian violinist Henning Kraggerud performing the boldly romantic Sibelius Violin Concerto.
