Stravinsky, Les Noces: Budapest Spring Festival
A propos du spectacle
Stravinsky's rhythmical composition "Les Noces" (The Wedding) will be performed at the Percussion Day as part of the Budapest Spring Festival.
Bartók’s sonata and Stravinsky’s The Wedding, these two 20th‐century classics of music written for the piano and percussion, can seldom be heard in the same programme—especially not with a host of pianists taking turns by the instrument. Kocsis will play Bartók’s piece with the wonderful Argentinean pianist, Ingrid Fliter, who is already a favourite with Hungarian audiences. The Wedding will be performed by three excellent young pianists, and Fülöp Ránki, Jr.
Conductor: Zoltán Kocsis
Featuring: Zoltán Kocsis, Ingrid Fliter – piano, Aurél Holló, Zoltán Rácz – percussions, Gábor Farkas, József Balog, István Lajkó, Fülöp Ránki – piano, Amadinda Percussion Group, Hungarian National Choir (choirmaster: Mátyás Antal)
Organised jointly with Palace of Arts.
