Libretto de Giovanni Battista Varesco, d'après la pièce Idoménée (1712) d'Antoine Danchet, sur la pièce du même nom (1705) de Prosper Jolyot de Crébillon.
Nouvelle production du Teatro Real, en coproduction avec la Canadian Opera Company of Toronto et le Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
