Enjoy Mussorgsky's great opera "Boris Godunov", this season at the magnificient Teatro Real in Madrid.
For the first time at the Teatro Real, Boris Godunov will be presented with its ten full scenes, including the "Polish Act", which allow to appreciate the genius of Mussorgsky, one of the most prominent composers of the nineteenth century and whose influence can be traced from Janacek, Debussy and Alban Berg to Messiaen.
Boris Godunov tells of the loneliness of a powerful visionary, the fascination of the people by false prophets and the infernal machine of the struggle for power. Boris Godunov is also Danton, Jovellanos or Gorbachov.
