Le retour de Kolja Blacher à l'Auditorium de Milan ressemble à des retrouvailles sincères. Ce musicien estimé a autrefois dirigé l'Orchestre de chambre dans une exploration approfondie de différentes périodes musicales, en compagnie du public. Son retour met à l'honneur la Quatrième Symphonie de Schubert et le Concerto pour trompette et orchestre de Haydn, marquant les retrouvailles avec le trompettiste principal de l'Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Alessandro Rosi, âgé de 23 ans, en tant que soliste vedette. Ajoutant une touche unique au programme, Blacher présente une œuvre de son père, Boris, les Variations sur un thème de Paganini, un chef‐d'œuvre qui a valu à Boris d'être acclamé en 1947, alors que l'Allemagne commençait à reconstruire son identité culturelle.
