Avec une démarche dansante, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian emmène le public dans un voyage à la découverte de certaines des pages les plus précieuses consacrées au ballet. Il le fait en apportant pour la première fois sur la scène de l'Auditorium de Milan « son » interprétation de ce répertoire, en présentant une suite qu'il a lui‐même créée à partir du ballet Gayane de son illustre compatriote Aram Khachaturian. En collaboration avec l'Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, le directeur musical crée un itinéraire axé sur le ballet : aux côtés du compositeur arménien, on retrouve Stravinsky avec L'Oiseau de feu, expression parfaite de sa phase de composition « russe », et Manuel de Falla avec Le Tricorne, deux ballets écrits pour le brillant Diaghilev, deus ex machina des Ballets russes.

| Orchestre: | Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles.
