Qui mieux qu'Alfred Eschwé, chef d'orchestre et gardien ultime de la tradition autrichienne, pour nous guider ? Après ses débuts la saison dernière, Eschwé nous propose un voyage qui commence par les évocateurs Tableaux hongrois de Bartók, se poursuit avec la dernière symphonie de Haydn avec roulement de tambour, et se termine par une sélection des pièces les plus emblématiques de Strauss, notamment la polka Tritsch‐Tratsch et la valse Kaiser.

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
