La fin n'est qu'un nouveau commencement. À l'instar d'autres compositeurs, tels que Bruckner avec sa Neuvième ou Schubert avec sa Dixième, la Dixième Symphonie de Mahler est restée inachevée après sa mort soudaine en 1911. Cette œuvre dramatique reflète les luttes intenses auxquelles Mahler a été confronté pendant ses derniers jours, mais elle ne subsiste que sous la forme d'une collection d'esquisses. Yoel Gamzou relève courageusement le défi de reconstruire ce chef‐d'œuvre inachevé, suivant les traces de personnalités renommées telles que Deryck Cooke et Rudolf Barshai. Il lui donne magistralement vie à l'Auditorium de Milan.
