« Il y a une raison pour laquelle certaines œuvres musicales sont si célèbres : c'est parce qu'elles sont belles », affirme le directeur musical Emmanuel Tjeknavorian. Cette vérité trouve parfaitement écho dans la Symphonie n° 40 de Mozart, un chef‐d'œuvre parmi les trois dernières symphonies du génie de Salzbourg, qui se distingue par son caractère mélancolique et lunaire par rapport aux deux autres. Parallèlement, l'Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano poursuit son exploration des œuvres symphoniques de Chostakovitch avec la Symphonie n° 6, une composition plus lumineuse qui incarne les humeurs du printemps, de la joie et de la jeunesse.

La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
