Halle (Saale)

The historic city of Halle (Saale) is located in the state of Saxony-Anhalt and is a very important cultural and economic center in eastern Germany. The University of Halle-Wittenberg is the largest university in Saxony-Anhalt and Halle is the birthplace of Baroque composer Georg Friedrich Händel.
