La révolution manquée de 1848‐1849 a marqué un tournant : avant cela, la musique était tournée vers l'avenir, jeune et printanière ; après cela, elle est devenue pompeuse et solennelle. Pas étonnant que Yannick Nézet‐Séguin revienne sans cesse au romantisme précoce comme à un premier amour secret. Écoutez Schubert, Weber et Mendelssohn et réveillez le révolutionnaire qui sommeille en vous – c'est tellement rafraîchissant !

| Orchestre: | Chamber Orchestra of Europe The Chamber Orchestra of Europe was founded in 1981. It draws its membership of fifty musicians from fifteen countries; they perform together mainly in continental Europe where the orchestra has developed important links with the cities of Cologne, Frankfurt, Graz, London, Paris and Salzburg.
