Esta ópera atemporal en tres actos se ha convertido en una de las óperas más queridas en todo el mundo. También es una de las óperas más representadas en la Ópera Nacional de Estonia. El libreto de Francesco Maria Piave está basado en la obra de Alexandre Dumas "La dame aux camélias". La obra se publicó en 1849 y se puso en escena en 1852. Giuseppe Verdi, que asistió al estreno, quedó tan fascinado por la obra que decidió basar su ópera en ella. La Traviata se estrenó al año siguiente. Es una conmovedora historia de amor atormentada por la moral de la sociedad y el pasado de Violetta. La felicidad efímera termina en tragedia.

Stage set, costumes and lighting were excellent, orchestra and choir were fine, some soloists had difficulties with their voices in the beginning of the first act but improved then and were very good in the second and third acts, where especially Aile Asszonyi and Jassi Zahharov gave excellent performance.
