Accompanied by Chopin Prize‐winner, acclaimed Russian pianist Yuliana Avdeeva, Fischer plays Szymanowski's folk‐inspired D minor Sonata between sonatas by the two late‐Romantic greats. Strauss' sonata, lyrical and impassioned, is full of newly‐awaking love, while Brahms' Regensonate or 'Rain Sonata' depicts that element in all its moods, through music.
