En el espléndido escenario de la iglesia anglicana de San Jorge en Venecia, el MandolinVenice Ensemble propone un viaje musical a través de la historia de la música clásica italiana, desde Vivaldi hasta Rossini, interpretada por el evocador sonido de las mandolinas. El concierto contará con piezas originales para este conjunto, así como transcripciones de autor que trazan una trayectoria ideal para descubrir las melodías más sublimes jamás escritas para este instrumento, en una experiencia que promete conmover el corazón y el alma.

This small ensemble was a real find and a great evening entertainment while we were holidaying in Venice. The group ranges in number from a quartet to an octet and all are consummate musicians playing mandolin, mandolin and guitar. The intimate setting meant that we could follow every instrument withe clarity. The control of dynamics especially at pp gave a wonderful delicacy and the tasteful use of rubato breathed life into the music. The nicely varied repertoire was mostly from the romantic era, where the mandolin attained its truly unique voice. We appreciated the insightful commentary which was also kindly translated into English for us. I took my two children to this concert and was not sure how they would react but both loved it! I was disappointed that more people did not attend this concert since this ensemble really deserves more recognition. In summary we had a wonderful experience and I bought the CD.
