A second evening in Grafenegg finds the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Andris Nelsons accompanying the world‐famous Wagner tenor Klaus Florian Vogt.

Scenes from «Parsifal» and «Lohengrin» offer an in‐depth look into the magical and romantic world of Richard Wagner, already familiar to Andris Nelsons from his 2010 debut in Bayreuth. In the second half of the programme, the preeminent British orchestra turns its attention to the seventh symphony to be penned by Beethoven, a high point of orchestral music.
