Vienna Boys' Choir: Budapest Spring Festival

Sobre el espectáculo

The Wiener Sängerknaben (Vienna Boys' Choir) will perform at the Budapest Spring Festival in 2012.

The world’s most famous boys’ choir with the longest history was founded in 1498, to provide musical services for the chapel of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I. Known for its strict rules, severe work schedule and a uniform that resembles a sailor’s suit, the choir has become a world brand on the strength of its individual sound, and the group does keep touring the world.

The programme, which accords with the Festival’s Danube theme, includes classic and Romantic authors (Mozart, Schubert), as well as the songs of peoples along the river (Slovaks, Hungarians, Croatians, Serbians, Bulgarians, Ukrainians).
