Oboe and violin velvet sounds blend and interact in this trio sonatas by great German composers at the Chapelle du Saint‐Suaire in Nice.

The program will feature the wealth and melodic inventiveness of Telemann, the pre‐Classicism of Wilhelm Friedemann, Bach's eldest and most gifted son, works by Heinichen, who was very popular in his time. The program will finish in style with Händel, who questioned the authenticity of a collection of trio sonatas that he wrote when he was only ten years old: 'I wrote like the devil in those days, and chiefly for the oboe, which was my favorite instrument.'
