After an acclaimed performance in 2009, the Philharmonia Orchestra London will return to Grafenegg this year under the baton of Esa‐Pekka Salonen. Together with Janine Jansen, they will perform Prokofiev's Second Violin Concerto. The second half of the program includes Beethoven's monumental 'Eroica' symphony and Brett Dean's 'Testament', a work that refers to Beethoven's harrowing 'Heiligenstadt Testament'.

The Grafenegg Festival presents a top‐class program of concerts with renowned orchestras, conductors and international star‐soloists. This year, enjoy a series of concerts including musical journeys to South America, swing music, highlights of the romantic period and unforgettable fireworks. On mild summer evenings, performances are in the open; in poor weather, the Auditorium opens its doors.
